Tortuga (Trader Vic's)
This is the original Tortuga from Trader Vic's in the 1940s. The book Minimalist Tiki also contains a drink by the same name with very different ingredients.
The recipe calls for 123 proof Havana Club rum, certainly meaning the one made in Cuba and not the modern US version. I have never seen anything other than standard 80 proof and 151 Spanish style rums, so do what you will here.
