This is The Atomic Grog's 3rd version of this drink based on their research and visits.

This cocktail originally used Wray and Nephew Dagger and then Kohala Bay rums, neither of which are produced anymore. The Mai-Kai now uses Appleton Estate Signature blend but The Atomic Grog's research says that a 50/50 split of El Dorado 12 Year and Smith and Cross are a much closer match to the previous rums. Since those are my two favorite rums, this is is the way.

The Mariano's Mix #7 is 1 Tbsp Falernum to .25 Tsp Absinthe or Pernod.
