Note that the version here calls for Jamaican rum rather than Rhum Agricole which Difford's Guide says. The original recipe (shown on Difford's) specifies Rhum Negrita. While French and partially produced in Martinique, Rhum Negrita was probably not an agricole, though. and was much closer to a Jamaican rum.
Not to be confused with the Donn Beach drink of the same name.
