Lost Over Jamaica
A modern riff on the Jet Pilot, which itself is based on the Don Beach original Test Pilot, from Matt Pietrek, frequently known online as Cocktailwonk.
While the recipe here calls for an overproof Demerara rum, that is not 100% accurate. This cocktail is based around Lost Spirits Navy Style rum. Matt Pietrek points out that it is being used in place of the Lemon Hart 151 traditionally used in its ancestor cocktails and is frequently considered a good substitute for Lemon Hart 151, but they really don't have a super similar flavor profile. I can't reasonably create a separate rum category on this site for a single rum or every minor variation, though.
If you can't get Lost Spirits Navy Style, then based on the way it is used Lemon Hart 151, Hamilton 151, or Plantation O.F.T.D. should all still get you a really good drink.
