Island to Islay Punch
Given what the bar describes themselves as, as of March 2025, which may have been different when this drink was concocted, this is really unexpected. Right now, as of today, the website says "At its core, it's a lively and vibrant mezcal and tequila bar that embodies the heart and soul of Mexican Hospitality.".
That is not where you expect a cocktail which would show up in Easy Tiki to originate
Anyway, I have had this come up regularly for over a year and I think "Yeah, I'm going to make that" and then realize it needs Passion Fruit juice and not syrup. I rarely have that. It's always available, I just don't buy it. This week I noticed my wife had bought a bottle, so it is time to make the drink.
It is good, but not my favorite. If I hadn't put 1/2 oz of expensive Islay Scotch in, I'd have no issues, but it is not good enough for that to me. Use Famous Grouse Smoky Black and I've got no complaints, though.
