A manhattan variation which is interesting but doesn't delve into weird stuff which isn't worth the effort unless you love that one specific variation.
Ingredients
Ingredient | Amount | Notes |
---|---|---|
Triple Sec | 1⁄4 Fl. Oz. | Recipe calls for Cointreau, who tap dances around the definition: https://www.cointreau.com/us/en/discover-cointreau/cointreau-triple-sec. I get it, triple sec has a bad reputation. So, yeah, triple sec, use the highest quality you want to. |
Sweet Vermouth | 1 Fl. Oz. | Recipe calls for Dubonnet Rouge. I used Cinzano. |
Rye | 1 1⁄2 Fl. Oz. | Recipe calls for Rittenhouse Bonded Rye. I used Wild Turkey 101 Rye. The latter is slightly more rye forward. |
Peychaud's Bitters | 2 dash |
Directions
- Stir all ingredients with ice
- Strain into chilled coupe
- Garnish with orange twist
